Visit an encampment depicting the lifestyle of the coureur de bois or trappers, traders, and hunters who moved from place to place in the early 1800s. A variety of cultures and trades will be represented through period costumes, types of lodges, crafts, trade goods and languages. Demonstrations will include blacksmithing, leatherworking, outdoor cooking and the firing of black powder weapons.
