Louisiana Folk Roots Cajun and Zydeco Trivia Night

Louisiana Folk Roots will host its first Cajun and Zydeco Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Vermilionville. Proceeds will benefit Folk Roots’ flood recovery efforts. Housed next to Vermilionville, the cultural nonprofit's office was inundated with more than 17 inches of septic, Bayou Vermilion water for 12 days during the August flood. Participants, who can play as individuals or on teams of 10, are encouraged to register early at eventbrite.com. Folks not in town for the festival can still participate through a live stream. Whether live or virtual, participants must know their stuff when it comes to Cajun music and zydeco. Games and raffles will be held in between rounds, along with a dessert auction. Food and drink will be sold at the bar.
