Bayou Teche Paddle Series - Leonville to Arnaudville

ABOUT THIS PADDLE SERIES:
Starting in the Fall of 2016 Pack & Paddle will host segmented paddle trips along Bayou Teche once a month for 10 months until the entire distance is completed. Participants will see magnificent live oaks, beautiful cypress and diverse bird life and more! Each segment will culminate in a planned event giving paddlers time to socialize and exchange stories of their paddling adventure.
ABOUT THIS SEGMENT:
Pack & Paddle will host segment 2 of their Bayou Teche Paddle Series Saturday, Oct. 29, from Leonville to Arnaudville. Participants will meet at Pack & Paddle at 12 p.m. and should expect to be on the water for about 3 to 4 hours for this level 1 trip (7 miles). Because of its short distance, this is the perfect trip for families and those new to paddling. Participants should bring water or Gatorade, snacks needed before brunch and weather-appropriate clothing and Halloween costumes (optional)! The costume contest will take place during the after-paddle party at the Bayou Teche Brewery Pier, where participants will enjoy jambalaya, music and beer. Registration is $55 (includes tandem kayak or canoe, paddles, PFDs dinner, beer and guides). One lucky paddler will win a brand new kayak from Pack & Paddle at the end of Segment 10.
