The Le Cajun Awards Festival is a unique two-day event that features an awards ceremony honoring the best in Cajun music and Cajun musicians. It includes a two-day dance festival with award winning Cajun bands. The Grammy style awards ceremony, sponsored by the Cajun French Music Association, includes awards for Band of the Year, Best Accordionist, Best Fiddler, Best Male and Female Vocalist, Song of the Year, and Best Recording of the Year. Cajun bands from outside Louisiana, including Europe, are also eligible to receive awards.
Friday, October 7 (Awards Night)
Doors open at 5 p.m. The award ceremony with CFMA Hall of Fame Inductees and the Miss Le Cajun Crowning begin at 7 p.m. Enjoy music by Donny Broussard & The Louisiana Stars. The entry fee is $10 (free for 12 and under).

Saturday, October 8
The festivities begin at 9 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. Enjoy music from Ellis Vanicor & The Lacassine Playboys, Jason Frey & Lagniappe, Sheryl Cormier & the All Girl, Allstar Cajun band; The Mid-City Aces; Jesse Lege & his Cajun Band. The entry fee is $10 (free for 12 and under).
