This paddle trip by the Bayou Vermilion District is geared towards paddlers with intermediate or advanced paddling skills. If you are worried about capsizing your canoe, this is not the paddle trip for you. This is a guided paddle trip where participants will be able to venture further into the depths of the Atchafalaya Basin via the Bayou Vermilion and enjoy the beauty of the bayou free from the distractions of the mechanized world. This paddle is led by two guides without a motorized safety vessel. The cost is $12 per person (covers our vessel fee, paddle guide fee, and our American Canoe Association insurance fees).
