“Gateway to the Grammys,” a send-off, fundraising party for local nominees, will take place Jan. 12 at Vermilionville. The event includes live music from Roddie Romero and the Hub City All-Stars, Barry Ancelet and Sam Broussard and Joel Savoy and Joshua Caffery. All performers are nominees for the Best Regional Roots Album Grammy. The winner will be announced at the 59th Grammy Awards Feb. 12 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Herman Fuselier, music and entertainment writer for The Daily Advertiser and host of “Zydeco Stomp” on KRVS 88.7 FM, will serve as emcee of the Vermilionville event.
