Lafayette Parish teachers who are interested in implementing to Keep Louisiana Beautiful curriculum in their classrooms are invited to attend a free workshop Saturday, Jan. 7, in Lafayette. The program includes topics such as defining litter, a timeline of trash, decomposition, watershed, clean water, effects on wildlife, plastics, reducing, reusing, recycling and civic responsibility. Teachers attending the full workshop will receive a $50 stipend, CLU credits, a toolkit, a program binder and lunch.
