The Southwest Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society is sponsoring a cruise through the heart of Cajun Country. Organized by Breaux Bridge-based Bayou Teche Experience aka Cajun Paddle, Cajun Classique will take place Monday, April 3, to Sunday, April 9.

This year, the Cajun Classique will touch all four parishes of Bayou Teche, with overnight stays in Berwick, New Iberia and Breaux Bridge. The cruise down the oak-tree laden bayou will travel more than 100 miles of Cajun beauty. Time will be taken to experience the local culture, including music and food and the bayou's historic and cultural significance. A remnant of the Mississippi River's waters from 5,000 years ago, Bayou Teche welcomed the first Cajun settlements, has seen Civil War battles, and is home to Keystone, the oldest operating lock and dam structure in the Mississippi Delta area.
