The Jeanerette Museum will host The Art of Nature photography exhibit from May 3 - 26, 2017. This exhibit features the work of award winning photographer John Flores and was developed by the Friends of Bayou Teche National Wildlife Refuge. The exhibit opening and lecture is open to the public free of charge. Seating may be limited.
Exhibit:
The "Art of Nature" exhibit designed by the Friends of the Bayou Teche National Wildlife Refuge for St. Mary Parish is traveling throughout St. Mary and Jeanerette. This exhibit features Flores' work as he captured the colors and beauty of nature in the area.
Lecture:
Photographer John Flores will give a lecture entitled, "Our Local Playground," at 6 p.m. on May 3, 2017 at the Jeanerette Museum at the opening of the "Art of Nature" photography exhibit. He will discuss the subjects of the exhibit and places in Louisiana that present the best opportunities for wildlife viewing. A meet and greet will follow the talk.
