Paddling and country festivals combined with spring weather - all this combines for a fun and unique paddling and festival experience on the Bayou Teche. The route will take paddlers from the very upper reaches of the Teche down to the quaint town of Leonville. Short breaks will be taken along the way while paddling downstream, with time for snacks and drinks.
After taking out in Leonville, paddlers will have option to head down to Arnaudville to enjoy the Etouffee Festival. This is a unique, free festival w/ great food, plus bands playing cajun and zydeco music, craft booths, and more. Plate lunch tickets will be provided, allowing paddlers to enjoy a nice big plate lunch of crawfish etouffee or shrimp etouffee w/ sides.
Bring a fold out chair if you want to sit and relax for a while. Cold drinks and beer can also be purchased (not included with the trip).
