Join Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center rangers and Science Ya-Ya (a new community science series) to discover micro-plastics and their impacts on south Louisiana's waterways. Dr. Mark Benfield of Louisiana State University's Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences will explore micro-plastics pollution in a talk followed by a hands-on lab facilitated by Alma Robichaux, education/outreach coordinator for the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program, that features water samples from Bayou Lafourche, tap water, and bottled water.
