Parc des Ponts de Pont Breaux Teche Boat Ramp
St. Bernard Street
Breaux Bridge, LA 70517
11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The festivities start with a set by the St. Bernard School French Musicians (11:30 to Noon). Additionally, musicians will play throughout the day from atop the circa-1860 bridge moored on the bayou bank.
The Heritage Stage is themed “Working and Playing on the Bayou” and will include a discussion on how the Teche-Vermilion Freshwater District manages water level in the Teche to aid various industries, to alleviate flooding and to help with coastal restoration work. There will also be a panel discussion on recreational paddling opportunities on Bayou Teche.
*Cajun Paddle will be partnering to host a “Paddle to the Party”. Kayaks and canoes will make the two-hour paddle from Poche Bridge to the park with a floating band escort (10:00 a.m. - Noon). This year, a shuttle service will be available to bring you to the paddle trip! Drop off your canoe/kayak at Poche Bridge, go park your vehicle at the festival grounds and take a shuttle back to your boat!
*TRAIL.org is partnering to host the “Trail Feathers” bike event (7 a.m. - 10 a.m.), which has two bicycle routes (25 and 38 miles) with the option to peddle and paddle with the Cajun Paddle crew. Registration includes transport of your bicycle to the festival, lunch, and other great swag items.
