This symposium, geared toward the general public, highlights current trends and understanding in plantation archaeology, and focuses on the research currently being conducted in the Basin.
Attendees will learn about how plantation archaeology, as a discipline, helps us understand the lifeways of people living under the plantation system and what archaeologists can tell us about the hidden aspects of the plantation systems and people.
Speakers will include Aubra L. Lee, Joanne Ryan, Dennis Jones, Stephanie Perrault, and Valerie Feathers.
