The public is invited to come enjoy this catered event and hear all about the great things happening on the Teche. “A River Runs Through It” is the theme for this year’s celebratory banquet.
The influence of the the Mighty Mississippi River upon the Teche-Vermilion watershed will be discussed. The Mississippi River and Tributaries Project is the largest water-management project of the US Army Corps of Engineers and the water flow in Bayou Teche is completely dependent on how the Mississippi River is managed.
Afternoon tours of the amazing Teche-Vermilion Fresh Water District Pump Station will be conducted (registration required for this tour).
