The Jeanerette Museum celebrates World Water Day along the banks of Bayou Teche. The public is invited to a FREE family-friendly performance by the Iberia Swamp Band. Bring your lawn chair (*no ice chests, please*) for those much-needed dance breaks.
The band will take the stage from 6 - 8 p.m. and bring attendees two full hours of “big band” style of jazz/swing band. Enjoy a wide variety of tunes, consisting of old style big band charts, modern songs and older popular favorites.
This program is part of the local Water/Ways Smithsonian exhibit project and a part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities made possible through funding from the Walton Family Foundation.
