Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This exhibit features works by artist Cheri Fry. A meet the artist exhibit opening is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 4 during the Cajun Music Country Mardi Gras performance.
Fry grew up in south Louisiana and has been painting since she was a teenager, but she really found her artistic passion as an adult. Her depictions of landscapes and people reflect her own journey as a person and an artist. Fry feels she shares her own story through her artwork.
“Life’s journeys and experiences become the greatest of teachers; lessons continually evolve. My art reflects the depth of a story which began with three children and ended with two. My art awakened, and became less about the obvious and exact, and more about feeling, it expresses this delicate balance with boldness, both in my landscape and figure paintings,” Fry said.
