The public is invited to attend this informational meeting, the purpose of which is to disseminate background information so all Capital Area Ground Water Conservation Commission Meeting ("GACWCC") members are on the same page going into the workshops.
Topics will include structured decision making and its role in long-term planning; the legal and policy background relevant to framing CAGWCC decisions; what we know about the supply of water (dynamics of the Southern Hills Aquifer System); what we know about the demand for water (forecasting future water use needs); and strategies for long-term water resource planning (an example from Tampa will be provided).
