Textile recycling is the process by which old clothing and other textiles are recovered for reuse or material recovery. Created work can be used as appliques on clothing and/or accessories, such as purses.
Guillin, a visual artist who worked in theater as a costume and stage designer, comes to Arnaudville by way of the "workaway.info" cultural exchange program. Materials required are a pair of scissors, your own natural fabrics, yarns, wooden beads, etc. for incorporation with provided materials. NO plastics, or synthetics, please.
Found objects from nature provide a tactile sensation to a work, making it part of a place, a l'esprit of that from where it was created, Guillin states. "Think of materials that can add dimension, and do not be afraid of creating a roughness."
