EVENT DETAILS:
Fête de la Nature
Event Date: April 23rd, 2022
Fête de la Nature is a celebration of Acadiana’s natural surroundings through art, music, food, and science. This event takes place at Atelier de la Nature in Arnaudville, Louisiana. Throughout the day, scientists will lead an open-to-the-public BioBlitz. At the BioBlitz, participants search for every species of bird, reptile, insect, plant and fungus living at the reserve.
The crawfish boil starts at 11am. You can enjoy 3lbs of crawfish and 2 potatoes for only $20. Run by Chef Colt Patin of the Culinary Institute of Baton Rouge, proceeds from the boil help fund Atelier de la Nature’s youth education programs. While you get to peeling delicious crawfish, enjoy live music with performances by Grammy Award-winning Cajun band, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, and legendary Cecilia-born saxophonist, Dickie Landry.
Register for this event for free here. If you want to camp on-site, it’s $5 per tent. The crawfish boil and drinks are cash only.
This event is made possible in partnership with Cycle Zydeco.
