Cajun Prairie Tour

The Cajun Prairie Habitat Restoration Site in Eunice is one of the best examples of a Cajun Prairie. This endangered ecosystem in St. Landry Parish was at risk of being wiped out. However, through the efforts of dedicated individuals over the years, the flowers and grasses of this restoration site are flourishing. In the spring and fall, the Cajun Prairie Habitat Restoration Society conducts tours of their sites in Duralde and Eunice where you can learn from the experts on the different varieties of plants, their uses, and their importance.

8am – Tours of Duralde Restored Prairie
10:30am – Eunice Restored Prairies, Fall Meeting, and Plant Auction.
