10.06.23	Acadian Brown Cotton Exhibit Reception & Screening Join us as we screen the lovingly made documentary “Coton jaune Acadian Brown Cotton: A Cajun Love Story” at the St. Landry Parish Visitor Center in Opelousas on Friday, October 6th at 3pm. Refreshments will be provided.
10.06.23	Tour du Teche Tour du Teche is an annual three-day race down the entire course of Bayou Teche in South Louisiana. The race offers options for the adventurous paddler through a pro-race with cash prizes, and a recreational option, the Voyageur Race.
10.07.23	Acadiana Fibershed Meeting Acadiana Fibershed and Acadian Brown Cotton invite growers, artisans, and textile lovers of all kinds to meet on Saturday, October 7 from 1pm–5pm at the St. Landry Parish Visitor Center located just outside of Opelousas at 1-49, Exit 23.
10.07.23	International French Bread Festival The day starts with the "Blessing of The Bread" followed by multiple staged live band performances.

Saturdays	Lafayette Farmers & Artisans Market The Market serves as the premier venue for seasonal, farm-based products, and artisanal creations, offered by local producers, artists and vendors in a celebratory atmosphere of community, enrichment and entrepreneurism, created through the mutual support of its members and patrons. Every Saturday, 8 am - 12 pm!
Saturdays	Cajun Jam Session Vermilionville's weekly Cajun Jam is led by some of the area’s finest musicians. The free jam is held in the Performance Center of Vermilionville and is open to all skill levels - beginner to professional. Admission is FREE for the jam only and does not include entry to the park.
